~ Fear of Loathing ~

The mysterious Lions of Dissent return with the entrancing new single ‘Dopamine Scream’.

‘Dopamine Scream’ is the first single from the forthcoming EP ‘Fear of Loathing’ which is due to be released in November.

A full frenzied, kaleidoscopic explosion of sound and colour, underpinned by a relentless, hypnotic groove, Dopamine Scream serves as the ideal sonic precursor to the primal menace of the group’s forthcoming, new 5 track EP.

Dopamine Scream, along with the rest of the EP, was written and recorded in the first half of 2019 by the band at their studio, based in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham. The new material is described by producer and multi-instrumentalist Simon Weaver as “A window into another universe – a combination of big ideas, gigantic ambition and unfiltered expression.“

Lions of Dissent are a four-piece from Wolverhampton. The band have been active for four years now and are still as mysterious as ever. Originally starting as an abstract art project but soon becoming a bonafide band. Lions of Dissent have played only a handful of gigs at the minute despite these selling out in rapid time. The band have also picked up some impressive and important fans with Lee Scratch Perry, Simone Marie Butler (Primal Scream), and Antone Newcombe (Brian Jonestones Massacre) all having complimentary words to say about Lions of Dissent.
