Back The Way We Came

Noel Gallagher has shared the official video for his new tune ‘Flying On The Ground’.

The video continues on from previous single ‘We’re On Our Way Now’ and also stars Matt Smith and Gala Gordon with a cameo from Noel Gallagher himself.

Noel Gallagher was full of self praise as always when commenting on the track,

“‘Flying On The Ground’ is literally the best thing I’ve released since the last thing I released.  If Burt Bacharach wrote for Motown this is what it would sound like … only not as good … obviously.“

‘Flying On The Ground’ is the closing track to Noel’s greatest hits album ‘Back The Way We Came Vol 1’ which features two new tracks, ‘Flying On The Ground’ & ‘We’re On Our Way Now’. The album is to be released this Friday.

Talking about both videos directors Dan Cadan and Jonathan Mowatt for Rankin say,

“This video reveals the true darkness behind the relationship between our protagonists … and its tragic undoing – a blatant nod to ‘A Bout De Souffle’ and ‘Bande A Part’ (’The Outsiders’).  Matt and Gala were left to their own devices to improvise each scene within both videos.”
