Heritage Live

As Lockdown restrictions ease and live music finally returns, Heritage Live have produced an immense line-up to re-introduce the good times to London.

On June 24th the iconic Kenwood House in Hampstead will play host to a stellar all-dayer. Headlined by Mancunian legends James in support of their upcoming 16th studio album ‘All The Colours Of You’, the day will be an historic not-to-be-missed moment as the first major post-lockdown outdoor gig. As fans of James know, the setlist promises to be an experimental mix of new and classic songs, with Tim Booth and co. never failing to change-up their approach to entertain the crowd.

Festival favourites Feeder and Maximo Park act as main support, bringing the feel-good indie vibes to London. Maximo Park, after having recently gained a number 2 album with ‘Nature Always Wins’, will be sure to provide a captivating set, directed by their ever-amusing talisman Paul Smith.

After achieving a number 1 with their debut album, The Snuts finally get the chance to showcase their summer-tinged, chart-topping tunes. The Scottish band’s chart success is all the more impressive without being able to play live, ensuring that the opportunity to play at Kenwood House will be a gloriously celebratory affair.

Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, The Sherlocks and Cruel Hearts Club are also set to perform, setting up the evening perfectly for the 10,000-strong crowd to descend on the capital.

Tim Booth from James says:

Right now, James are in a fully tested Covid bubble rehearsing for this concert. You never really value some things until you’ve lost them – so now, to be playing together in a room, to be coming to play to an audience, to be working with all the people who put on these amazing events, things we used to take for granted – we are re-appreciating in a deep way. As one of the first concerts out of lockdown, this will be a massive celebration. Let’s have a party!

Paul Smith, Maximo Park:

We were asked a few weeks ago if we wanted to be James’ special guests at the first big London gig after this awful year, so we obviously said yes! Our new album went to Number 2 and we couldn’t celebrate by playing live, so this will be an opportunity to give those songs their first airing to a big outdoor audience.

Jack Cochrane, The Snuts:

We’ve been without live music for a while and as things are looking up. We took this opportunity to get back to performing ASAP after restrictions are lifted – it’ll be great.
