Unmissable Indie Showcase Coming to Cleethorpes ft The Balla, The Glasshouse and Elson

JW PROMOTIONS X ATLAS LIVE

Cleethorpes is set for a big night of live music as JW Promotions bring The Balla, The Glasshouse and Elson to Atlas Bar on Friday 23rd October.

The new show comes from promoters John Blake and Wayne Draper who have established themselves around Grimsby for putting together some seriously good nights, combining some of the best up-and-coming acts with the very best local talent.

Their latest venture will see them make their debut at Atlas Bar, a newly opened venue in Cleethorpes which despite only being around for a short time, is already proving itself to be a real staple of the local music scene. They’ve certainly picked a strong lineup for their first night at the venue too.

Liverpool outfit The Balla will headline a bill that showcases three very different sides of the current indie scene.

The Balla have wasted little time making their mark since emerging onto the scene. After making their debut at Liverpool Sound City, the band have gone on to sell out their own headline shows while picking up festival appearances and support slots alongside established names.

Their debut single ‘I’m Not A Number‘ introduced their energetic indie sound, with ‘Paris‘ following as they continued to build momentum. If you have seen them live then you will understand that they have some big tunes in their arsenal.

With big guitars, infectious melodies, a reputation for bringing plenty of energy to the stage and a big party off it, The Balla look perfectly suited to what should be a lively night at Atlas.

Joining them are Hull’s The Glasshouse, who will be bringing their alternative edge across to the bridge.

The band have been steadily building their following and continue to establish themselves as one of the names to watch, with new material like ‘Red N Blue‘ helping to push them further into the spotlight.

Completing the lineup are Grimsby’s very own Elson, giving the night a strong local connection.

Elson have become familiar faces on the local live circuit, developing a sound that blends indie rock with atmospheric and shoegaze influences. Their ‘Everything Is‘ EP arrived earlier this year as the band continued to build on the momentum they’ve created through their live shows.

For JW Promotions, the night represents another step forward for two promoters who have already developed a reputation for putting together bills that give emerging artists a platform while keeping local music firmly at the heart of what they do.

It also gives Atlas Bar the perfect opportunity to continue growing itself as the premier venue for live music in Cleethorpes.

With The Balla, The Glasshouse and Elson all on the same bill, Friday October 23rd looks set to be another strong addition to the ever growing local gig calendar.
