Irrational Movements

Walsall based band The Assist return with their latest single ‘Irrational Movements’ taken from their upcoming debut album due for release next April titled ‘Council Pop’.

‘Council Pop’ is released 8th April, Pre-Order here: https://assist.bigcartel.com/

Big changes have happened to the band since their last release including fatherhood for guitarist Ryan Stanton. The band Describes the album as something that epitomises everything that they stand for. There is an air of excitement from one of the UK’s most established underground bands.

Sitting right at home within my heart the ‘Irrational Movements’ touches on how the band struggle to acclimatise to a modern day society that prioritizes materialistic possessions over life itself, “Seek strangers approval for our amusement” is a nod towards how much we all rely on this validation and none of us are exempt from this.

The band have definitely made an imprint with their last ep ‘Lost’ which was charted at #10 in the iTunes chart and saw them playing URAL music festival in Russia to over 10,000 people.

I’d describe ‘Irrational Movements as a perfect mixture of indie, electro and 90s pop with a perfect mix of present lyrics. If the energy is anything to go by In the first single then the album is going to be supercharged.
