On This Day: In 2000 Doves Released Their Debut Album ‘Lost Souls’

On this day back 2000 (19 Years ago) Doves released their debut album ‘Lost Souls’.

‘Lost Souls’ went on to hit #16 in the UK Album chart. The album set the foundations for one of the most loyal fan bases in the industry. ‘Lost Souls even went on to be a nominee at the Mercury Music Prize.

All three singles ‘The Cedar Room’, ‘Catch The Sun’ and ‘The Man Who Told Everything’ broke into the top 40.

Doves have been inactive for the last nine years but on Thursday (28th March) the band made their live return at Warrington’s Parr Hall before headlining London’s Royal Albert Hall on the Friday (29th March) for Teenage Cancer Trust.
