On This Day: In 2014 Kasabian Released Eez-Eh Single

On this day in 2014 (5 years ago) Kasabian released the new single ‘Eez-Eh’. The single was the lead from the Les-Tah lads fifth album ’48:13′.

The album saw the band explore their dance influences rather than their rockier and psych direction.

Chief songwriter Sergio Pizzorno said,

“120 bpm is the magical tempo, it is the natural rhythm for bouncing.“

Despite the single only reaching #22 in the official UK chart the track is a staple in Kasabian‘s live set.

In June 2014, the album ’48:13′ reached #1 in the UK album charts and went onto to become a platinum-selling record with over 300,000 sold.
