Released Today: Red Rum Club release new single ‘Vibrate’ with accompanying video

Early hours this morning Liverpool band Red Rum Club released 80s soaked tune ‘Vibrate’ fast in the footsteps of previous single ‘Nightcalling’ both off of their upcoming album ‘How To steal The World’ released Friday 22nd October.

The song tells the story of lousy excuses and upset lovers describing unanswered calls and lousy excuses that are made in an era of mobile phones. The reference ‘I need you to CALL ME BACK’ in caps lock is perfect at describing someone’s anger at someone not answering their phone.
Frans smooth vocals are perfection in this song and fit the melody and story perfectly.
Doran says:
“’Vibrate’ is built on hazy recollections and confessions in the form of a guilt-laden ballad. It sets a scene of consequences and regret to an all-too-familiar list of excuses made by the bad half of the relationship. A sombre narrative cushioned by lush orchestral textures that create a cinematic score to this dreamy tale of inebriation and infidelity.”
That is something this band do with ease, Red Rum Club have the ability to sing relatable lyrics to the danciest tempo ever and that is something that draws in fast growing fan base, along with their down to earth personalities and sense of humour that has seen Fran walk around dressed as a globe to promote their upcoming album.
We recently caught up with Red Rum Club who spoke of working with producer Chris Taylor (Jamie Webster, Blossoms, The Slow Readers Club & The Sherlocks) stating that he fully grasps what the band are going for before their performance at Tramlines, the band also Spoke of getting back on stage,
“It’s a mixture of nerves and excitement but we can’t wait to perform.“
If you haven’t witnessed Red Rum Club live this is a band you need to watch ASAP. Their energy and crowd presence is contagious, this will definately have you dancing and singing. Unfortunately due to covid their crowd gatherings on stage haven’t been able to take place but that doesn’t take away their presence or live pitch perfect performances.
