Y Not? Festival announces huge line up with an unsigned twist

Y NOT? 2026

Y Not? Festival have dropped the first names for 2026 and they’ve swerved subtlety completely. Reytons, Two Door Cinema Club, The Streets and The Libertines are leading a line-up that already looks like another stormer in the Derbyshire hills.

Celebrating its 19th year, Y Not? returns to Pikehall from 30th July to 2nd August, promising four days of singalongs, sweat and the kind of indie chaos you can only get in a field surrounded by hills and questionable phone signal.

Opening night goes to The Libertines, who seem to gain momentum the messier they get. Fresh from a summer of festival charging including Glastonbury and a triumphant Gunnersbury Park, Pete, Carl, John and Gary are bringing ‘All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade‘ to Pikehall with all the romance, riffs and ramshackle brilliance you’d expect.

But the major talking point is  Reytons! Now fully-fledged headliners, still unsigned, still doing it the hard way but still proving everyone wrong. After making history as the first unsigned band to ever headline a major festival at Tramlines last year, they’ve only gone and done it again by topping the bill at yet another major UK festival. It’s a seismic moment for the DIY scene, and with ‘Ballad Of A Bystander‘ tracks mixing with bedlam-inducing classics, their set is looking like a victory lap played at 110%.

Joining them are Two Door Cinema Club, who’ll be firing through ‘Tourist History‘ in full, a dream for anyone who’s ever tried (and failed) not to dance to ‘Something Good Can Work‘ plus a barrage of greatest hits tailor-made for festival sunshine.

And then there’s The Streets, closing the weekend in truly iconic fashion. Mike Skinner isn’t just doing a set  he’s performing the entire story arc of ‘A Grand Don’t Come For Free’ from front to back. A full narrative journey in a field, surrounded by thousands belting out every line like they lived it themselves. Expect big emotion, bigger nostalgia and the kind of communal roar that only The Streets can summon. Skinner’s live shows have been on fire these last few years, mixing theatre, humour, chaos and pure connection so giving him the final night is basically guaranteeing a legendary festival moment.

Beyond the headliners, the line-up’s stacked: Dizzee Rascal, Kaiser Chiefs, Scissor Sisters, The Vaccines celebrating 15 years of ‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines‘…, plus indie scene staples including The Royston Club, The Snuts, Reverend And The Makers, Ash and The Lottery Winners. Add Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Happy Mondays, The Fratellis, Kid Kapichi, Pale Waves, Hard-Fi and loads more still to come, it’s shaping up to be one of Y Not?’s most loaded years yet.

Pre-sale begins at 10am on Friday 28th November with general sale taking place the following day at 10am on Saturday 29th November.
