Liam Gallagher has just announced an extra special gig for MTV Unplugged which will take place at Hull City Hall on 3rd August.

The performance will be recorded on the night and is set to be broadcast on MTV on 27th September, just a week after Liam releases his second album ‘Why Me? Why Not’ on 20th September.

Liam Gallagher has teased about playing the cultural City since his brother and former Oasis man labelled Hull a shithole during a US tour. Noel Gallagher then went on to play the City earlier this year.

After R’Kid announced his arena tour, a few fans took to Twitter to question Liam as to why Hull was not included, this was responded to  in typical Liam fashion with a return tweet saying the following,

To all my brothers n sisters in Hull I’m reading there is disappointment in the air as I’m not playing there on my uk tour I am planning a special gig there soon trust me it’s happening now stop with the name calling on twitter as I’m a sensitive soul and can’t handle it LG x

Tickets for the special date was announced and sold out instantly.
