Main writer and lyricist Stu Whiston had the following to say about the digital release,

‘True To Life’ is about the self-entitled generation. Everybody wants everything right now and seldom are ever satisfied. It’s about the grass isn’t always greener, so be happy with what you’ve got because you could lose it all in a flash.

The single is fast-paced with a catchy anthemic chorus with sounds of early Feeder.

The band have been building a very strong and dedicated fan base through their DIY released tunes and constant touring which has seen the band play with Shaun Ryder, before his Q&A’s and also with The View‘s Kyle Falconer.

Shader‘s last release ‘Time is Right’ peaked at number 2 in the Official UK Physical Chart to only be pipped by Blur with ‘Girls and Boys’ for the number 1 spot.
