~ DNA ~
Cult indie favourites Twisted Wheel have announced that they are due to release the long-awaited album number three which is titled ‘DNA’.
Twisted Wheel toured relentlessly through 2018 and in a pretty similar way that the band first burst onto the scene, the gigs were getting bigger and madder. The lads played in nearly every city, town, festival and even shared stages with Liam Gallagher. 2018 wasn’t just about touring for Twisted Wheel though, as the band also released the brilliant ‘Jonny Guitar’ EP, the first new music since ‘Do It Again’ was released in 2012. Within that time, it is no secret that Jonny Brown the frontman and driver of ‘The Wheel’ went through some dark times but throughout the return, Jonny is looking stronger, focused and more determined than ever.
The new album ‘DNA’ hasn’t been given an official releases date but the band have said that the LP will be released in November. New single ‘Nomad Hat’ is set to be released this Friday (3rd May). With the official video already premiered.
The following statement was posted on Facebook:
“I think we need to start by saying how thankful we are towards the fans who have remained true supporters of The Wheel from day one.
“Without you I would not have reformed this band. You helped me realise this band is special and definitely important to peoples lives.
“Secondly, thank you to all the new fans who have come on board since the comeback. We are honoured to have connected with a whole new, exciting audience. We won’t be disappearing anytime soon that’s for sure.
It’s been a long time coming and we are finally to drop the first song off this very long awaited 3rd album.
‘Nomad Hat’ is a statement of our intent.
It takes something far bigger than life to keep us down. Life’s doubts and struggles have just well and truly blown to oblivion.“
