Hailing from York, Skylights seem to be on an upward climb and moving forward in a time that has seen many bands putting on the breaks.

Rob Scarbrick explained that the track was written in lockdown and captures the fear and emotion felt by many around this period.

‘Darkness Falls’ sets a different tone to the previous releases and shows the band’s ability to provide a slower pace track without losing any of the energy, It has an instant air of hope and calms amongst the fear and unknowingness that surrounds us in these uncertain times.

Skylights last single ‘Enemies’ flew into the UK physical charts at number 2, only missing out on the top spot to ‘A Hereos Death’ by modern indie-punk favourites Fontaines D.C.

The band come across as an incredibly hardworking down to earth band that is here to do what they love and to also have fun whilst doing it… It is no wonder Skylights have such a loyal fanbase which also includes BBC Sports presenter Mike Bushell, commentator Guy Mowbray and the cast of Soccer AM.
