Fontaines D.C. add more supports to irresistible Finsbury Park gig

Blondshell, Been Stellar, and Cardinals to Join Fontaines D.C. at Sold-Out Finsbury Park Show.
LA-based artist Blondshell, New York quintet Been Stellar, and rising Irish outfit Cardinals have been confirmed as support acts for Fontaines D.C.’s largest headline performance to date, taking place on Saturday 5 July 2025 at Finsbury Park, London. The trio of new additions will appear alongside previously announced special guests Amyl and the Sniffers and Kneecap at the sold-out event.
Blondshell, the project of singer-songwriter Sabrina Teitelbaum, brings an emotionally raw and sonically charged take on alternative rock. Raised in New York City in the early 2000s, Teitelbaum’s influences span from Patti Smith and Joy Division to Imogen Heap and Elliott Smith. Her latest album, If You Asked For A Picture, is slated for release on 2 May and will mark a powerful new chapter in her musical journey.
New York’s Been Stellar channel the restless energy of their city’s post-punk legacy, drawing inspiration from acts like Sonic Youth, Interpol, and Iceage. Their intense and atmospheric sound has earned them growing acclaim. Also joining the bill is Cardinals, a Cork-based band whose recent self-titled debut EP melds shoegaze, pop, Irish folk, and rock with poetic lyricism and a gothic sensibility.
For Fontaines D.C., the Finsbury Park show marks a milestone moment. From playing to just a few dozen people at The Finsbury pub in 2017 to headlining for over 45,000 fans in the same neighborhood, the band’s rise has been nothing short of meteoric. The Dublin-formed group has built a formidable international reputation, earning BRIT Awards, GRAMMY nominations, and critical recognition from the Mercury Prize and Ivor Novellos, as well as being named NME’s ‘Best Band in the World.’
The Finsbury Park date underscores Fontaines D.C.’s status as one of the most vital and in-demand live acts today. Their specially curated line-up promises a dynamic and memorable day of music, celebrating the band’s journey with a community of collaborators and friends.
